Skellig Triple Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey – Six18 Step Collection

Skellig Triple Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey celebrates the most unique style of traditional Irish Whiskey – Single Pot Still. The use of both malted and unmalted barley in the mash bill combined with triple distillation in copper pot stills gives this whiskey the enduring silkiness for which the Single Pot Still style has become globally renowned.

This limited release Irish Whiskey is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks in homage to the centuries of maritime trade between the Skellig Coast and European ports. Some of this whiskey was also briefly finished in a former peated cask to give it the slightest hint of peat to reflect the geography and aromas of the Skellig Coast, with its hectares of raised Atlantic peatlands. Casks were carefully chosen from those maturing at our Skellig Six18 maturation warehouse – Atlantic Aged.
